Quickstart

From sign-up to your first finished task in about five minutes.

1. Create your account

Open app.codestilt.com/signup and enter your email. We email you a 6-digit code and a sign-in link. Type the code, or click the link. Both work once and expire in 15 minutes; there is no password. You can also use Google or GitHub.

2. Install the desktop app

On the computer where your code lives, follow Install. Windows: download and double-click. macOS and Linux: one command in Terminal.

3. Link the computer

Open the app and click Link this computer. Your browser shows a 6-character code such as KQ7-4ZP. If it matches the code in the app, click Link. Details: Link your computer.

4. Allow a project folder

In the app, click Choose folder and pick your project. CodeStilt can't see anything else on the computer. Very broad folders such as your whole home folder or C:\ are refused.

5. Give your first task

In the dashboard, type something small, for example Add a footer with the current year to the home page, choose the computer and folder, and click Make a plan.

6. Approve, watch, review

Read the plan, click Approve plan, and watch the progress live. When it says Done, open the files in your editor. Don't like it? Click Undo all.
